Beautiful weather today, so J9 and the mutts jumped in the car and we took the short hop to the beach. Three hours of swimming dogs and chasing tennis balls ensued. Great now we live so close, that's our third trip in 7 days.

Back home I gave in to the fact that we needed to harvest the garlic, shallots and carrots from the smaller bed. We now have a years worth of garlic, a load of beautiful looking onions and a disappointingly small pile of carrots.
Now to dig that bed over & decide what winter crops should go in there while we wait for 50ft of spud plants in the big bed to be ready.
Good feeling when you consider that the veg plot at the bottom of the garden was flagstones and brambles just over a year ago when we moved in.
