Fairfield Horseshoe, Ambleside

I really enjoyed today.

We didn't get round to this walk last year as I felt it was a bit ambitious for both the dog and I. However, we went for it this year and had a great day.
The weather was perfect with sunshine and a cool breeze. Great views. This is looking down on lake Windermere towards Ambleside.
The ridge walk is about 11.5 miles long and takes in 8 peaks climbing to an ascent of 1100m.
MP was quite tired - when we stopped for our well earned coffee she lay under the table with her ear in the water bowl !!
I shall enjoy dipping my feet in the brook in the garden tonight.
