Today I bumped into two gentlemen welding the supports on the Southend Pier. It's a constant job. These guys were from the North and as such were more than happy to chat, sort out the world's problems from Brexit to Trident and do so with wit & wry humour. Oh how I miss living in the North! What the picture doesn't show is the fishing rod and line. They'd grabbed the perfect opportunity for a spot of fishing whilst welding.
