Sunset City

It's been roasting.

Headed off to Somerset House to see "Daydreaming" with Stanley Kubrick. The exhibition explores Kubrick's work as interpreted by contemporary artists ( Extra - images from Dr Strangelove with world leaders charged with nuclear arsenals - How appropriate for today's vote).

Then off for a walk down the South Bank and St. Paul's. Hopped on the tube and DLR to Grenwich and a quick visit to the Old Naval College and up to the Meredian Line. Spent half an hour trying out blip the moon rise over the Royal Observatory but the trees put paid to that. Then down to the moon behind the Cutty Sark to see the sun set over the City with a glass of wine in hand.

Back in Westminster at 10 pm to see the protesters campaigning against the Trident programme which MPs voted to renew this evening. As I was walikng past, I saw the PM leaving the House in her ministerial Jag.
