Grasshopper

Tiny little thing on a fig leaf, he didn't seem to mind a camera stuck in his face, although he was very aware of me as I moved around.

I began to clean out the raspberry patch this afternoon. In past years the plants were very prolific, but this year we hardly had any berries. I don't know if it was just a bad year, or if the plants are tired and need to be replaced. There is so much I don't know about gardening.  We put in some new lettuce starts which will be shaded by the kale for awhile until they have a chance to settle in.. That's it for today's excitement. Still walking my 2 miles by the ocean in the morning.
