The Rook

Shot of the 14 foot high statue of 'The Rook' by The Glasgow-based sculptor Andy Scott (of the Kelpies fame), which is an outsized version of The Rook from a new chess set that Scott is making with Edinburgh silversmiths Hamilton & Inches, as part of their 150th anniversary celebrations. The statue is in George Street outside their shop. I realise that this has been blipped several times already but I did want to have a picture of it in my journal. It is a surprisingly warm and sunny afternoon, after the torrential rain and thunder storms this morning.
