Orb Weaver

Are you ready for your close up?
Garden spider, Araneus diadematus, an orb weaver. You can just about see the gossamer fine thread of a web strand it's sitting on, sort of looks like it's flying. I think they are quite beautiful. I don't think it was too chuffed at having an iPhone so close. Sorry if you are an arachnophobe.
