Royal deer, Chiemsee

Andreas took us on a ferry trip across the Chiemsee to an island 'Herreninsel'  (Men's Island) where we visited the jaw-droppingly opulent Royal Palace of Herrenchiemsee, built by King Ludwig II in honour of the Sun King Louis XIV of France. I can only conclude that the former was a devoted fan of the latter; no expense was spared! I mention this in passing, as my attention was also caught by the deer in an adjoining enclosure.
