Newnham on Severn

Whilst in the area, I took a trip down Memory Lane to this little village. We used to visit here during my happy childhood days to visit my Aunt and Uncle who lived in a treasure trove of a house with a very, very long garden and an outside bench-type WC which seemed very comical to us.

I think this was the house, but I am not entirely sure, and it seems the lovely garden has been sold off for some modern apartments, but then it was over 50 years ago, and the village itself has stayed much the same.

We carried on to the nearby Forest of Dean, also a place we used to spend idyllic days playing in the stream and climbing up on to fallen tree trunks.
