Large White Butterfly

A beautiful day from first thing ..... ideal conditions for a walk along a small part of the Fife Coastal Path.

L and I took the car to St Monans and walked from there to Pittenweem where we enjoyed a spot of lunch.  Walking back down one of the narrow vennels to the harbour I spotted this Large White butterfly resting on what looked a pink agapanthus.  The flower was sticking up above a rather high wall and I couldn't see the leaves.

The extra photo is the village of Pittenweem taken from coastal path on our way back to St Monans.
