It was two years ago today...

...that the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow was held. I can't believe that is two years already.

The team in charge of the legacy of the Games at Scottish Government were asking on twitter for our favourite moment of the ceremony. No question which was mine - one of our amazing young volunteers who we nominated to take part had an incredible starring role - holding aloft the baton at the sensational conclusion of the event.

What's lovely is that she is now doing some work with us as part of her uni studies and was in the office today - so we were able to get a gorgeous pic of her and her "golden moment" to mark the day! My heart still swells with pride whenever I think of that part of the ceremony - definitely in the top 10!
