Genius

So we had new doors and windows fitted to the house. But I was reluctant to lose the wrought iron scrollwork of the original, which contained, at its heart, the letter M - after Monsieur Marcou, who built the house in the 1920s. So the fitter, a local artisan, recuperated the original, recut it to fit the new door and reinstalled it. This is the result, with the extra showing it from the inside. A work of genius, IMHO, and probably the most unique white PVC double-glazed door in... well, in our town!
