Oliver Postgate

I was going to blip something completely different and then I remembered that today one of the children's story telling greats passed away. Oliver Postgate 83. Creator of Noggin the Nog, The Clangers, Bagpuss, Pogles Wood and Wingpings and for me the best stories of all Ivor the Engine. In partnership with Peter Firmin they took the stories to the Small screen with simple stop/go animation. Those of us who are 40 somethings will remember all his characters Jones the Steam, Idris the Dragon, the soup dragon, Professor Yaffle to name but a few. Around the office today there has been much reminicsing of the tales and adventures of his characters. Thanks and R.I.P.
