Montpellier Le-Vieux

We certainly packed plenty into our 'rest day'! A visit to the Roquefort cheese factory and the caves where the cheese is matured. Have to admit to not being a fan of blue cheese but it was a fascinating visit.
Then onto another village Peyre. Which involved travelling under the Milau bridge. The church was hewn out of rock and the village was set back into the rock face.
Finally a trip up some rather scary hairpin bends to Montpellier Le-Vieux. This was rather like Brimham Rocks (for those that know it). It easily could have occupied us for at least half a day. These pedestal rocks are perched high above the Gorge La Dourbie. It was difficult to reflect the scale of the area due to the thick vegetation but hopefully this gives a flavour of the views.
Back to Gite just in time for an evening meal.
