Life in Newburgh on Ythan

Castle Dracula

".... Suddenly I became conscious of the fact that the driver was in the act of pulling up the horses in the courtyard of a vast ruined castle, from whose tall black windows came no ray of light, and whose broken battlements showed a jagged line against the moonlit sky."  Bram Stoker. Dracula.

Having spotted Count Dracula in his castle on our visit yesterday, today we returned armed with garlic, a crucifix and the required hammer and sharpened stake, ready to do our civic duty. Unfortunately we couldn't find the place where he rests and so, he lives on. Next time!
