Kitchen Cove, 17.05, 23.07.16

All happening at the Cove this afternoon. A little fishing boat had been tastefully and scenically left on the strand and a family were taking advantage of the late afternoon sun by frolicking in the water and leaping on kayaks.

Taken a bit later than usual as we went off to Baltimore to put a card delivery on the ferry for Cape Clear Island - we're big on Cape Clear! After  a cheese toastie (me) and a mackerel sandwich (HImself) al fresco on the harbourside, we made our way home via Skiberreen where the Arts Festival was in full swing. We followed an excellent arts trail around the town - I love the work of John Doherty  who specialises in almost photographically detailed paintings of old and derelict houses; and Janet Murran's exquisitely enhanced images of old and derelict houses. Hmmm, is there a theme there.

Can't stop - off to another festival now - the literary Festival continues in Bantry and i'm off for an evening with Zadie Smith and Nick Laird.  All go!
