The day after

On Saturday, the day after, my brother and I always like to take a stroll through town to see the stages taken down and to feel the atmosphere of the people who are in town to do some shopping or a stroll before heading home again.

Over the years the taking down of stages and such would start more and more early in the night, but this year there was still a lot to be done. And we saw a lot of rubbish (empty plastic glasses) in the festival areas, which was usually already cleaned up by Saturday morning in years past.

What happened? The crowd didn't seem as big as other years on Friday evening. Was it crowd management, was the organisation happy to have everybody safely gone home and decided not to venture into town for cleaning too soon after?  We'll never know probably. But I am happy the entire week went well. I wasn't afraid, but I was alert, with all that's going on in the world.

As extra a photo of what else we do on this Saturday every year. Sitting for quite a while outside with river view.
