A Matter Of Interpretation

Every time I see this gate as we drive home from church I think the design is a stylised witch - all pointy hat and flowing robes, flying home from a session of casting wicked spells in the hills.

But one day we walked past and, taking a closer look, discovered that it depicts a bridge over a river, with mountains in the background.

I'm almost disappointed.
