Can you see the ....

... hummingbird moth?

After seeing Memories4Me's hummingbird moth yesterday I realized that I hadn't seen one around here in a long time.  I did a search on blipfoto and saw that my one and only shot of one was back in August 2011!  Five years ago!!

We had some shopping to do this afternoon so we braved the heat (94° F!) and humidity and stopped at Jacobsburg State Park to see if we could find any hummingbirds.  

I was certainly (pleasantly) surprised when I saw this hummingbird moth on the bee balm!  What are the odds?!?

I have done a quick catch up on my journal .... starting with my Squirrel Blip Friday shot.  Actually that should Chippy Blip Friday!
