Final day...bittersweet....

This was our last, and wildest day, of the PGA tournament. My 7th day on the course, 6 of them started at 6:30 a.m. and i usually got home by 3. Long hot days in the sun, lots of sunscreen and water. I met the nicest people, many taking time off work to volunteer, and many others who are retired. Next year is the last time the historic Glen Abbey Golf Course will host this prestigous event, as the golfers have outgrown the course. Holes need to be longer for this new generation of golfers. The only autigraph i requested was that of my favorite Jim Furyk, this photo is of my "volunteer husband" getting a signature. Mr Furyk bumped in to him the night before at our local grocery store as he was picking up groceries! How jealous was i? I snuck out mid day to attend my neighbour's beautiful 65th birthday party (will blip photo later) and returned to the course until 7. As the last golfers come off the course it is pandemonium as we try to control the crowd, luckily everyone was very well behaved, it was just sheer numbers we tried to control. It is a cool spot to be as the golfers are right up beside us as they make their way to the locker room, autographing on the way. Congrats to the lovely and friendly Johnny Vegas for winning with a 12 under! Happy to hit the bed tonight, getting ready for work tomorrow.
