Lac Blanc

Day 2.
Start of the Tour de Mont Blanc.
Took cable car part way up and then walked to Lac Blanc - actually seems to be 2 lakes and the upper one was even more frozen. Mont Blanc in the background and a refuge on the left, very busy as a Sunday, a lovely day and fairly accessible.
There was then a long descent, first steeply with some ladders, then across open country with flowers and ibex and finally steeply down a zig-zag path through woods. Just when we thought we had nearly  arrived there was another short uphill into the campsite.
A welcome shower and dinner in a local hotel - not very exciting.
Today was also our 40th wedding anniversary
