Snug Harbor

A couple of friends were available to hang out today so despite the day being another scorcher, we planned to meet up with them. We went to Snug Harbor which is part botanical garden and part maritime museum. We toured the John Noble collection (now I know whom the ferry is named after) and goofed around in the children's exhibits. Who wouldn't want to be a ship's captain!

Later on we headed to a Sri Lankan restaurant for a late lunch and then enjoyed a couple of pints at the local brewery. When it was just the two of us later on in the evening, we took our kayaks out for a very short trip just so I could get a feel for mine. Ocean kayaking: still not my favorite type of water to paddle!
