Irresistible dahlias...

... to make a change from a succession of candid street blips.

The Valley Gardens in Harrogate have an annual display of dahlias with early specimens showing their colours, and no doubt many more to flourish in the coming weeks.

I loved the near symmetrical form of this bloom and the colour in the extra, slightly less perfect flower.
