The Gala Water.

It's the last day of Swannie's four days off and we were all awake at four o'clock this morning so we just got up. She is on early shifts for the rest of the week so it made sense. With a lack of anything else to do, she decided to take the train up to Edinburgh to look for a shop that is in Princes Street. The 0924 train was cancelled so the 0954 one was standing room only by the second stop so the ticket man didn't come round to sell tickets and the journey was free.

The shop she was looking for turned out to be a concession within BHS and it's about to close so was all just sales and rubbish. After a bite to eat, she headed back to Waverley to catch the 1225 but guess what, it was cancelled so she had to wait until 1254, but this one wasn't busy enough to deter the ticket man so she had to buy a single to Gala.

After coffee with a friend she went back to the station and jumped on the train back to Tweedbank and again, no ticket man. All those cancelled trains and free journeys? That's no way to run a company, lots of love, JJ, xx.

PS the blip is a quick phone snap taken in Galashiels of the river that runs through the town.
