Broad-leaved helleborine

I was pleased to find that half a dozen of these orchids had escaped the strimmer in the Hastings garden where I found them last year. They were only just coming into flower; most helleborines do come out later than the other orchids but I was surprised how late.
Not the prettiest orchid I admit but still always a delight to see them. Because the actual flowers are green they are easy to overlook.
I think I've almost completed the run of orchids for this year - maybe one more if I'm lucky enough to find any autumn ladies' tresses.
