In the cool of the evening

I think this is a young catbird, preening and neatening his/her feathers for maybe a night on the town??? Hanging out in the sumac by the pool where all the catbirds hang out. Well not all, there are loads of them around. the birds of summer. didn't Don Henley record that?
the extra is a towhee spotted on our walk at dusk. He was happily calling back and forth with a second towhee. Iso 1000! and cropped because I was across the road trying not to spook it. Pleased it is so clear for all that.
