Wow - that's big

We're standing at the highest point in Leicestershire - at 278m - Bardon Hill. They started that quarry in the 1600s. It's big and going to get bigger!

We spent several hours enjoying good exercise, fresh air, learning new things. Ella the dog and grandson Ben thoroughly enjoyed it (especially as we were doing a bit of treasure hunting - geocaching - as well). Yet he was the only child we saw in the countryside all day! They can't all be on holiday, surely?
