Swimming pool off Kitsilano Beach Park, Vancouver

Today, we decided to go for a beach day and visit one of the trendy beach areas around Vancouver. We took a water taxi to see the city skyline from the water and headed for Granville Island, famous for its public market of trendy shops and galleries. We took a swim in the Pacific, our first ever, and then hit upon this open swimming pool which is adjacent to Kitsilano beach. The beaches are not up to much in my opinion compared to the big Atlantic beaches but what they do have is a fantastic backdrop of the city skyline and a relaxed vibe; lots of volleyball courts and teenagers having a good time. The pool you see in the blip is the largest I've ever seen (100 metres?) and great value. The extras are the food market on Granville Island and some shots of the waterfront.
