Viaduc de Garabit

Heading south for the Mediterranean, we stopped to admire le Viaduc de Garabit. This impressive stucture is a railway arch bridge which spans the river Truyere in the mountains of the Massif Central. The bridge was constructed between 1882 and 1884 by Gustave Eiffel (of Eiffel Tower fame).
Just as I was taking the photo, a train kindly came across the viaduct too!
