I love these plants growing on the harbour wall, rooted into cracks and crevices between the stones, subjected to wind and sun and dog piss, still they grow and spread and flower and seed: dog daisies, goosegrass, herb robert, ragwort, rose bay willow herb...
How could we not admire their opportunism and their resourcefulness and their ability to survive and to reproduce against the odds?
We can call them weeds or we can call them winners.
The colours are bumped up just a little.
