Hairy, frosty, rainy and ready for spring

Weather is confusing - is it autumn, winter or perhaps something in between?

This very hairy and hardy leaf rosette of a Common Mullein is not confused, though. It's ready for spring whenever it comes.

Hopefully we'll get a bit more snow before then.
