the top bar hive - roof made and all painted

The roof has been built from external ply with weatherboarding to keep the rain out.  It will give a dry interior and a space for a top feeder without disturbing the bees.  The new bars are narrow enough for bees to get up on top between them and the crown board has a bee space under it and a hole cut in the top on top of which the feeder can go.  Then on goes the new roof.  The handles make it easy to lift off when the feeder needs filled with syrup which we need to give them for the first two weeks.  All ready for the bees now!
