Nae lugs!

Today was the annual coffee morning for Second Chance Cat Reacue in Moffat that Swannie helps out at, if she can. They had a very busy morning.

The blip is of the famous Moffat Ram Statue in the High Street just across from the Town Hall. There is a story behind the statue ....

It was commissioned by a local businessman called William Colvin and when it was revealed to the town in 1875, a local farmer was heard to exclaim "It has nae lugs!" If you look closely, you can see that the farmer was right. The sculptor, William Brodie, was so humiliated by his mistake that he reportedly hung himself and still haunts the town to this day.

I will let you know how much money that Swannie and the ladies raised for my orphan cousins just as soon as we get an email to let us know. Lots of love, JJ, xx.
