We had heard that today was due to be one of the worst days of the year on the French roads because inexplicably, all the French , like lemmings head off to the south all on the same day! So we decided to stay put and have a relaxing day in the sun. 
The day started off beautifully and we decided to cycle to St Jean. It took about 15 minutes instead of the 45 it took on foot last night. We had a leisurely coffee in a square then wandered around the lovely shops and bought a few things for lunch. We spent the afternoon on the beach , but it became increasingly grey and started to rain and thunder a bit.
The sky cleared a little just as the sun set, so we ran out to take photos over the sea wall.
