Loch Tulla Viewpoint

Our last morning in Glencoe: later today we will be going home. We had planned to visit the Buachaille again, but when we stepped outside we noticed a beautiful low fog and without even talking to each other, we concluded that we needed to visit Loch Tulla Viewpoint. We had driven past there a couple of times the last days and we knew it would be an excellent spot to photograph the mist in the valley. Once again, we were not disappointed!

With all the luck we had the past days, it just could not stay this way. It turned out we used our last bit of luck when Herman, who had been driving us around all the time, managed to brake in time when the car in front of us suddenly hit the brakes and turned left without signaling. Quite a scary moment and well done Herman!

However, after that we were completely out of luck. A tiny bit of gravel hit our windshield and that type of damage was not covered by the insurance we had. I'm pretty sure we had to pay about three times the cost of fixing the windshield, but what could we do?

As we were checking in for our flight to Amsterdam, we found out it was delayed for several hours because of the fog that had made flying in and out of Amsterdam impossible in the morning. It had the knock-on effect of delaying pretty much all the flights even later in the day. I arrived home after midnight. Completely knackered, but all in all very pleased with the great adventure we had and of course all the images to prove it!
