Spain

We packed up this morning in the pouring rain with the result that all the stuff that needed to be stowed away was wet and covered in sand and bits of grass.  We ended up putting assorted chairs,  screen covers etc in the shower on the basis that it would catch the drips and could be washed out easily.

We crossed the Spanish border only to find that we had left all our Spanish maps behind.  We somehow managed to navigate to the lovely hills called Monte Jaizekibel which are a bit like the Malverns but overlook the sea.  The weather had briefly improved at this point.   My extra shows a group of the numerous walkers that passed us by.

After we bought a map at a filling station we found a campsite fairly early (for us!) and are now overlooking Zarautz.   Only problem is that the weather has deteriorated again and it feels like Cornwall with that sort of misty drizzle that gets into everything.

The weather shouldn't be like this in Spain.  I thought the Rain mainly fell on the Plain.

We are heading off to the Picos de Europa mountains tomorrow.  Fingers crossed for better weather.
