Morning Ablutions

Best seen large.

I went out between showers to see what I could see. Over the back fence Mr and Mrs Hare were so intent on washing themselves that they didn't notice me. It was the same with the bellbird. I crept to within three metres of where she sat in the plum tree preening herself. I took a photo of her too, but she was silhouetted against a light grey sky.

I think the constant gloom is getting to them as well as to me. I need some sunshine and a glimpse of the mountains. Haven't seen them for five days now. I don't expect much new snow up there because it hasn't been cold enough.
