Carry on Camping

It was a last minute decision but two friends decided to spend saturday night in our tent that ian has erected for such a purpose.

We'd had a great day out walking four miles across country to the vineyard, a few hours wine tasting , a long wait for an al fresco evening meal in a 16thcentury pub, and then back to our house in a cab - three wanted to walk back, but us three ladies didn't relish the uphill climb. More corks popped and two got a taxi home at midnight, leaving behind a jacket not a glass slipper. The other two took up the offer of an overnight stay in the tent. They used to run a scouts organisation so are used to camping and sleeping on lumpy mattresses. They survived the experience and said the only sound they heard were the ducks splashing aroind in the water.

My turn next.
