Migrant in Moscow

By Migrant

One of my favourite churches

The Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin at Zachatyevsky Monastery - this time taken from the monastery side (it's a woman's monastery).  It always yields such a rich palette of greens, gold, silvers, blues and greys.  I blipped from the other side on 2 June and over the tops on 31 May.  It always looks so new because it is new .. it was demolished by the communists in the 1930s and rebuilt completely in the 90s (paid for by a local busnessman).
