Barony

A most relaxing morning. it’s a joy to sit up in bed with the plumped up pillows and Saturday morning papers looking out across the boats. It is.
But then time to move - to meet up with the son who’s really being great, knuckling down and making a real effort to move on. So, after a bit of shopping and some coffee, we chatted away - about childhood, growing up, and sharing experiences in the Barony (btw you may have seen it on BBC’s Secret Agent, yes indeedy). An excellent hour or so.
And then, on with the Kiltie and off to Gullane for R’s 50th birthday - a ceilidh in the Village Hall. And it was rare, so it was. I’ve got to say though that some of these dances are a bit physical, and not entirely in a good way  (pass the O2 bottle). And the caller woman, espying that I was one of three kiltie’s at the do, was a bit insistent about joining in.
Home and I conked out straight away - but dreamt of sailing! Which maybe wasn’t too amazing as plans had sort of been laid… maybe…
