Endless Weekend

New addition to the garden

I'm hoping to attract some butterflies to my garden so I've planted a few new things, including this yarrow plant. We'll see if anyone new comes around!

Saw an excellent play today at the ACT Theater called "Daisy".  It was based on the TV ad that was created for Lyndon Johnson where a little girl is counting the petals on a daisy while the countdown to a nuclear explosion is taking place.  The play had many layers, from the political to the personal, and drew many parallels to our current political campaign nightmare.  It is a world premiere, and we thought it was terrific and hope it will make it to many other cities.

Another beautiful day here, with a lovely evening on the patio for dinner.

“Today we live in a society in which spurious realities are manufactured by the media, by governments, by big corporations, by religious groups, political groups... So I ask...What is real? Because unceasingly we are bombarded with pseudo-realities manufactured by very sophisticated people using very sophisticated electronic mechanisms. I do not distrust their motives; I distrust their power.” ― Philip K. Dick
