University Parks: Hoverfly

Spot the wing damage in large.

I grabbed some fresh air and some photos at lunchtime; I didn't take many pictures, but definitely felt better for having had a walk outside... I liked this Mexican poppy, the interaction between the abdominal markings and wings on this hoverfly, and was (again) amazed by the number of bees on the Eryngium (now flowering).
