Sulgrave Manor - family home of G.Washington

Lunch at Canons Ashby - a glorious NT property followed by a visit to the family home of the Washingtons. There was a party of people from Bath whilst we were there. Lots of information about his early life was revealing.
I loved this modern applique hanging which incorporates many of the designs around the Manor. The building itself is both Tudor and Georgian . The symbol over the door of the manor shows where the stars and stripes originated on the American flag.
Lots of quirky things to see here and I would really recommend a visit- we didn't have time for the grounds which looked lovely.
