Edinburgh: Day 2

I awoke to a glorious day and sunshine pouring through the window of the apartment. We had a lazy morning, because we are on holiday after all, before we headed off on our first adventure of the week. The itinerary stated (all beautifully planned out by LadyG) that it was a visit to the castle with a stop off for lunch on the way at a cafe....hopefully The Elephant Cafe where JK Rowling wrote the Harry Potter books. Her Ladyship told me to brace myself for disappointment as the cafe was bound to be busy....but we got in. It was a jolly good job we did because I forgot to brace!...tantrum avoided nicely :)

We then mooched along the Royal Mile all the way to the castle. It was the perfect day to go with glorious sunshine and lovely, puffy clouds to top off the gorgeous panoramic views across the city. Oh, it was splendid....the castle, the sights, the interesting people we secretly snapped, the sunshine, the side splitting laughs or should that be trouser splitting laughs!!!.....fabby day!

Now I must have a shufty at the itinerary and see what is planned for tomorrow :)))
