Peregrine Life #16

A juvenile fly by this morning shows just what great condition this young bird is in. He was screeching for the adults to bring in food but nothing showed up and I suspect the youngsters will soon need to be fully independent as they will be off to find their own territory in a few weeks.

The direction of the marking pattern from head to toe (adult is wing to wing) is clearly evident here  as is the dark surround of the beak, clear signs of a first year peregrine
