A dull day, but at least it hasn't rained. Mr M decided he wanted to visit the large monument you can see as you approach Anglesey on the Brittania Bridge. It took a while to find the un-signposted car park. From there, you walk through some overgrown woods to an old house where you are supposed to be able to pay the house owner to go through their garden to get to the monument. Unfortunately the house was derelict and the gate locked, so Mr M and eldest scrabbled around the side of a rock face and managed to get to the bottom of the monument. According to the website, there are 115 steps to the top, but the entrance was barricaded... It would have been helpful if all this information had been back at the car park!! Anyway, the extra shows a view from the bottom.

We went past the town with the longest name in the UK, so stopped at the train station to get a photo with youngest. I have the exact same photo with eldest when he was about 4.
