Santa Claus is coming to town

This week, with only 141 shopping days to go,  Selfridges opened the "Christmas Shop" at their flagship Oxford Street store.

Not to be outdone, we have put up dozens of Christmas trees and decorations in the hall of one of the buildings I manage in Huddersfield.

It's the time of year when all the trees, lights and trimmings across the council are electrically tested and checked in readiness for the 2016 festive season.
