Tyneside

This was the great view I woke up to this morning. We were staying in a hotel in Gateshead, across the Tyne from Newcastle.

I have been learning a few Geordie phrases. Did you know that "Aa've dyun" means "I have finished", or "Gannin whey" is "Go on then"? Ah well, "Wi'll Hae to be gannin' " - "We'll have to be going", because "It's varnigh lowse" - "It's nearly closing time"!
