Old solders never die...

...they just quit working.

After rather a lot of abuse, the wife's camera gave up the ghost.

Then I tore it open and gave it a cursory inspection. Nothing within my ability to fix.

Poor little guy, you will be missed.

This does not put me off Canon, still think they make great cameras. This one took quite a beating.
