Hampsfella

Work can be a grind.

All kitted up with protective equipment and a respirator, he is restoring old steam locomotives at Loughborough on the Great Central Railway.  This scene reminded me of the industrial revolution sequence in the 2012 Olympics opening ceremony, except that in the 19th century they would have had none of the protective equipment.  Today I spent another day at the Great Central and I always pay a visit to the shed to see how the various restorations are progressing.  Industrial engineering and steam power in particular still fascinates me.
